Skelly Selest is a fast-paced roguelite action game developed by caiys and published by caiysware that successfully captures the spirit of classic arcade experiences while blending it with modern procedural progression systems.
Combined with its retro-inspired presentation, the visuals give the game a strong and recognizable personality.
Progression is handled through a collection of unlockable characters, equipment, and upgrades that gradually expand gameplay possibilities.
It's genuinely a really fun rogue-like, the playstyle of combat changes between vessel to vessel (character) but essentially it's that kind of dark souls, all about timing dodging and attacking.
The audio design complements the action exceptionally well.
So far I am playing with the controller, which works well without problems.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No themes split opinion in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 5 sampled reviews and is not shown.
