Commandos 2: Men of Courage

Commandos 2 was where the series really went all out with everything it was capable of, and the whole looting enemies and character inventories was one of the best additions to the games in my opinion.

Obvoiusly it has the best graphics (up to this point) for the franchise, and the full 3D environments really added a ton to the game.

Every level tells a self-contained story within the larger context of the war, making the campaign feel both cohesive and diverse.

The level of environmental interactivity was revolutionary in 2001—players could pick up enemy uniforms, turn off lights to hide in shadows, and even use enemy weapons against them.

The game’s notorious difficulty is both a hallmark of its design philosophy and a barrier for less patient players.

Each mission unfolds with cinematic flair, featuring pre-rendered cutscenes and voice acting that immerse the player in the tension and heroism of covert wartime operations.
