Gameplay
Players who bring up Gameplay mostly praise it.
Heroes of Hammerwatch has unique and compelling progression elements that sets it apart from other roguelites and really sucked me into the experience.
82 of 300 sampled reviews raised it
Story and characters
Players who bring up Story and characters mostly praise it.
The real interesting system here is that progressing through the game on one character grants permanent stat increases to all of your characters, for example, if you beat the first 3 bosses of the game with the paladin you're providing 7 defense to all other characters.

Multiplayer
Players who bring up Multiplayer mostly praise it.
Heroes of Hammerwatch is a difficult, top-down, up to four-player online cooperative roguelite that rewards persistence, people who like to level multiple characters, and people who use mods (At least as of a very recent update that allows you to earn achievements in modded saves).

Co-op
Players who bring up Co-op mostly praise it.
Certain people are going to love that grind, and I'm sure that it's plenty more fun if you're playing it co-op with some buddies as well.

Graphics
Players who bring up Graphics mostly praise it.
* Pixel graphics: iGPU only laptops and the Steam Deck run this with zero issues performance wise.

Combat
Players who bring up Combat mostly praise it.
Hitboxes are way too precise, and the aim marker, well, isn't.
