Gameplay
Players who bring up Gameplay mostly praise it.
In terms of gameplay, the best way I can describe it is Contra meets Megaman, with the combat using a weapon system similar to Contra but with an ammo count, and the movement and overall feel being closer to a Megaman game.

Graphics
Players who bring up Graphics mostly praise it.
I actually really liked the games visuals the more the game progressed with the final level being a 100% my favorite visually and there are some really nice vibrant colors, since we're not playing on a CRT, but the levels feel pretty boring at the very beginning of the game.

Audio
Players who bring up Audio mostly praise it.
One last thing to mention is the absolute banger of a soundtrack, there's not a single bad track in the whole OST, it's all chiptune greatness and I really wish we could buy it as a DLC.

Controls
Players who bring up Controls mostly praise it.
This game's inspiration is clear, and while it has quaint graphics of the era, a chip-tune soundtrack just passable enough to not become irritating, and gameplay controls well (on gamepad, keyboard absolutely sucks), it does not save it from doing a mediocre job at what its inspirations did infinitely better.
