To circle back, yes, I really had about 3 seconds to react to a high wind alert, and as a result I lost story mission cargo that got stuck on the side of a mountain after the game slammed me into it and blew me up, so it's impossible for me to retrieve without spending a frustrating amount of time trying to remain level enough in VTOL mode to grab it.
- Optimization: The graphics are definitely dated but somehow nobody's computer can run it above 50 FPS at full graphics settings.
BUT... it does not limit what controller you can use, and how, so in that sense, it still does better than a lot of flight sims out there.
For the record, I'm playing on a Steam Deck, on medium-ish settings, getting okay-ish visuals in docked mode with FSR.
