Defense of Roman Britain

The gameplay is pretty simple, you as a Centurion just need to put all sorts of towers to protect your base from the so-called barbarians who want to take over.

its hard to recomend this game to anyone who isnt a big fan of the genre. its not a terrible game, but it is a very simple tower defense, and it does have a few issues. my biggest quarrel with it is some lag issues, particularly when times come that you have to click your towers or objects repeatedly. some of the wave units have the ability to freeze your towers, and you have to click them to unlock. this is a problem. it lags my pc down to a standstill. i believe this game was made for phones, so it should run better than this on a pc. another annoyance is that waves often come out of nowhere on like the last wave. you'll have beaten a level up to the end, and then creeps just come out of the woods, or show up on a boat out of nowhere behind all the tower placements and walk right in. you have powers, but they are seriosly under powered. at the time of writing this review im about 25 hrs into it, close to beating it a 2nd time, on the hard difficulty, so it does have some good qualities. it has an upgrade system for the towers, by acquiring gears to put on them. but with this it kinda makes the game really easy, as im pretty sure you could beat the whole normal campaign with only the first tower, if you upgrade it. i would give this game a 5 out of 10. certainly not the worst td on steam, but not the best either. if you can get it for a dollar, thats about right.

The graphics are satisfactory, but considering the full price of the game, I would expect better graphics.
