Football Game

While playing this, I was reminded of similar methods used in Kathy Rain such as the cut scene for travelling between locations, hints at Lynch as well as the progressive plot that gets more mysterious as it develops!

Graphically, Football Game makes use of retro pixels to reflect the era and has an engrossing soundtrack that creates a surreal vibe developed by Jupiter C which combines with the story to give an uncomfortable feeling of something not quite being right yet the mystery must unfold to lead the Player to that reveal.

The dark, minimalist visuals blend seamlessly with the night-time setting, amplifying the sense of unease and isolation.

I’m not spoiling anything, but the way the story builds tension and keeps you questioning what you’re seeing is honestly top-tier for such a short format.

There are moments where you will go through trial & error clicking around to work out the right solution but, thankfully, it has the right balance of difficulty that isn't too easy yet has its moments of using logic to advance.
