Despite its alpha state, the gameplay is there and is quite fun.
I kinda wish it would look a bit more polished (in the sense how mario kart 8 looks better and more realistic than previous versions and still doesn't compromise on visibility or change art style) --- but also the current graphics are part of why its so simple and easy and the game builds on them.
Hopefully we can see an improved track creator (I think it's still a bit hard to work with), smarter AI (they tend to die a lot in the harder tracks), multiplayer and perhaps even a ship creator a la F-Zero GX...
