Lovely story and visuals but unacceptable crashes, making it impossible to complete the game if not manually fixed.
Also, according to the really helpful fan wiki, some visual effects that are part of the game's style or art direction can become heavily reduced or hard to notice on higher graphics settings which can debatably make the game look worse (this might be more of a purist issue though).
There is replayability in terms of achievements and finding other secrets, but the main selling point will be to experience it all over again with another person.
There’s no story or lore, only a collection of "insert your own meaning here" cutscenes, and the OST sounds like something straight out of Hollywood movie trailers, "helpfully" highlighting how you should feel at any given moment.
The only theoretically interesting element here is the sneaky multiplayer mechanic (you get randomly paired up with one other person who’s currently playing through the same area).
I am not recommending it but this is a mixed review there is a lot to praise here (especially the anonymous co-op system) and I can also understand its influence and importance but ultimately it did not really sing for me.

Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
