It's sort of like that on the surface, in so far as the story being set in a high-school but Little Busters is a lot more zany and way less grounded.
The circumstances behind these events are over the top even by anime standards, but the emotions being relayed in the climax get through whereby it hits the feels pretty hard, boosted by the soundtrack that's next level even among the high standards of VNs.
But while this seems like a fun idea for replayability in theory, in practice it doesn't work that well.
This visual novel really just nails everything: the story, the music, the characters, the atmosphere, the humor, the mini games, and even the visuals.
