On the contrary the bright in-game graphics are quite cute and, while not referencing any specific title, seem clearly inspired by Sonic, Wonder Boy, Kirby and Mario games.

Sir noggin is a action side scrolling game that has bright colors, lovely sprites and a real toe tapping soundtrack to boot, only flaws is it's REAL easy (Great for kids or if you're bad at retro games.) and it's short. took me just a little under hour to complete, but had a *fun* hour. the game has challenges to take out and a soundtest to jam these tunes, boss rush as well.
