I played a lot of different party-based RPGs over the years, but I never played a game that had such a funny approach to its narrative, aesthetic and overall design.

Also there are no random encounters and you don't have to grind even on the hardest difficulty, which are great plus points!

Some games don’t do that, even from the era this game harkens back to so I consider that a plus so there isn’t any need to really grind in the game.

The presentation, worldbuilding and spritework is crisp, the narration is lighthearted and comedic (sometimes hit or miss based on your preferences, but I had a good time with it: it is a silly, but earnest epic), the OST is funky and the combat definetly does not reinvent the wheel, but it gets the job done.
