Then the gameplay is good fun although it's the old problem that nearly all boost games have: If no boost, you jug along as if this was a sunday drive, not a race.

So with this game it's incredibly frustrating, because it starts off with banger music (probably not to everyones liking, but it fits so well and takes a nose dive into oldschool racing game soundtracks), stunning visuals that haven't been seen since the early voxel racers.

Outside of the Grand Prix, Single Race and Time Trial modes, there are also a few variants where you have to watch your car's health while racing and the more classic Cops and Robbers that can all be fun in multiplayer online, or with friends in split-screen.

The soundtrack, which is more of a background beat, is pleasant and fitting for the races and accelerates on the last lap for added pressure.

I ran it on the Steam Deck and it performed really well.

The ending scenes with each character are short, but a nice bonus.
