What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The bow mechanic is perfect, you can teleport onto rooftops (with teleport arrows), and if you pick the crossbow (once unlocked, which is very early) it is a different game because that can be fired like a six-shooter, maybe 5-10 shots/sec depending how fast you can move your controllers.
Graphics are beautiful, not too complex in terms of environment models, but really nice textures and aesthetic, and the enemies are very nicely done and detailed models.
Teleportation and free locomotion movement plus the fact that you can go anywhere that you can see creates endless options for tactical combat ranging from Super Cautious Long Distance Sniper to In Your Face Ninja Assassin.
Since then I have unlocked a number of very powerful arrows (and a few duds!) while in game and appreciated the difficulty ramping up significantly over time causing me to reevaluate my play style.
I'd also kill for a co-op mode (that increases the enemy count to compensate).
The music helps establish the surreal atmosphere, while the sound effects are excellent.
