What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
It's just a genre I don't pay much attention to. but this happens to be my favorite type of story: it'll provide you information that organically makes questions arise, and along with answering them it'll always provide more and more things to ask yourself about the story and the world.
The story is very good and world building is top tier, personally had me hooked pretty much from the beggining The visuals are almost perfect, they are nice to look at, match the mood of the currently happening scene no matter if it's bloody and moody or happy and full of emotions and they're nicely accompanied by a simple but really good soundtrack that even sometimes tells part of the story.
The art is amazing, the backgrounds are full of details and I loved the soundtrack!
Gameplay in The Crown of Leaves mixes traditional point-and-click exploration with dialogue trees, environmental puzzles, and journal-based deduction mechanics.
- Interface - The interface is minimalist, and I would consider that to most certainly be in the favor of a game like this one, where the surroundings, characters, and beauty of the thing are what really define the product, in a good way!
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 3 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
