What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Characters are more refined and a new character that's fun and fits the gameplay well.
A lovely artstyle overhaul, and the music is honestly even better than the already great OST of FP1.
Characters are more refined and a new character that's fun and fits the gameplay well.
The graphics, art-style, sprite-work, gameplay, story, music, and voice acting are all great and better than before, and all of the additional features, such as hub worlds, a world map, updated movesets, a ranking system, a parry button, more collectables, a fourth playable character, an enhanced classic mode, a revive system, assist options and more just make this game feel very fleshed out.
Difficulty: Some things are easier; you don't need pro-gamer skills to get S-Rank or beat par time on every stage.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 5 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
