Pros: Very, VERY rich lore and story. *chef kiss* The world felt very lived-in and atmospheric even though the main quest areas were noticeably linear.

Since I spent my childhood playing Sonic the Hedgehog 3 co-op before it was a term (I was Tails, airlifting my brother to safety in Hydrocity Zone) I think the emphasis on co-op is great if you're getting your kids this game.

It really felt like I was a kid again, riding my bike around the neighborhood and exploring the wilderness around my home.

While it doesn't break any ground as a gameplay experience the potent narrative and unique visuals give it a strong stature as essentially a playable piece of art and interactive story.

The choice of weapons is pretty clever and the late-game weapons you obtain are super fun, but there's no learning curve and it's a bit shallow and repetitive.

The sound effects, particles and general feedback of the attacks really felt nice, and that's what I want in a top-down hack-and-slash.
