What players think
The recurring themes across 256 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
I played Eye of the Temple using the Oculus Quest 2, connected to my PC wirelessly via Remote Desktop (fortunately the wi-fi signal in the garage is strong).
For me this (and the beautiful graphics) made me forget I was in VR and there were even a couple of instances where I actually DID try to reach out and brace myself against a virtual wall, only to stumble and nearly fall over.
Throughout my ~3.5 hours of gameplay I was continually introduced to new creative mechanics, made incredibly intuitive and natural to learn in the way only VR games can achieve.
It looks simple but comes with an unique and creative concept (super smart locomotion), wrapped in a nice setting (Tomb Raider/ Indiana Jones etc.) and is unfolded in a good pace (not too hard, always something new till the end).
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No themes split opinion in this sample.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 6 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
