Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment

Instead of simply revisiting existing locations from a different perspective, it introduces a new protagonist, unique movement mechanics, fresh level designs, and a darker narrative that adds significant depth to the series' lore.

It's been one of my most played games, graphics are amazing, controls (yes that thing I brought up earlier) were fluid, humor/gameplay is on point.

The soundtrack successfully captures both the excitement of fast-paced platforming and the tragedy of Specter Knight's story.

Even after several hours, thanks to each level of the game offering unique enemies and features aswell as it's own visuals and setting, which is undermined by the great soundtrack that never plays the same song in more than one level, fighting your way through the level until you face off against the boss doesn't get old.

His signature dash slash ability transforms both combat and platforming into a fluid, acrobatic experience.

The GAME is fun, it may be difficult, but it's also fun, and it has the right amount of difficulty mixed with a good amount of satisfaction.
