Gameplay
Players who bring up Gameplay mostly praise it.
There is some minor clipping of ground and trees in some areas which is worth noting, but they are not terribly immersive-ruining nor do they affect gameplay at all.

The sounds are fun too, and the visuals; Derail Valley has that mix of realistic railroad happenings and cartoony chaos when your train derails and dives off a cliff, or you ram a train into a yard of tankers and watch it all blow up.

Finish your farking game with new and flatter map for FREE (BC I WON'T BUY YOUR DLC BS) PEOPLE/NPC's, other vechicals besides trains (skip jump is LAME AF and nausating irl train crews use bikes btw...do that), more track period as its curently small af and messy with rail signs that mean utter nonsense and stupid routes that save no time, dynamic events like trees on the rails or stuck switches or snow, multiplayer LIKE YOU PROMISED, better gadgets, some actual frickin lore because your game world is VERY much apocolyptic/post war (even thought you devs say its not on EVERY POST on dev fourms) it VERY MUCH IS and we want it that way...so lean into more with bent and warped rails and unreliable DRV rentables (mods beat you to it on both btw), overgrowth, scene's of war/post war, a military presance, some burned buildings to go along with all your abandond/old ones, abandond track thats super skech, a movable player house with features like the trains (I HATE the little house btw its a pointless waste of resourses and track like so much else in this game), a world rebuilding asspect where your deliveries actually change the map with time and show your making a change to the DEAD VALLEY, more TRAINS etc etc etc, there is so damn much you could add and choose not to because of honestly more scamy BS reasons, yes I have followed your dev blogs and you guys keep saying the same thing "trust us were working on it" ...yes trust the game devs with telling the truth...yea sure...right...ok...history book says otherwise but still no hate, just facts, there is NO trust.

- I love that you can have either the RP controls to use your mouse only to run the train or a shortcut menu that lets you use everything from one spot.

Optimization
Players who bring up Optimization mostly praise it.
it is worth pointing out that the roadmap currently includes "Layout optimization for future AI traffic (double-tracks, signals, etc.)", so while that is scheduled for some time in 2027 and is only the base foundation, it is clear that my above point won't remain, eventually.

idk.. i found out the best way for me to play in VR mode is to use steam link rather than the meta link cable, meta app was screwing it all up. runs good for me on medium and low, its just super dark at night lol. pc version runs good on medium and high with the foliage alone turned down to medium or low. it makes finding the demos easier when its turned off and you can see everything lol. after just over 100 hours of playing my only nit picks are the jagged terrain changes id see along the tracks when going from a hill to flat land, and only 2 times have i been spamming teleport (F key) and somehow started falling through the ground into the abyss lol. i wish the de6 was able to use the remote controller but whatever i guess. and kinda have to make a reason to go back to your house in game tho, been there once to look at it but never had to go back.
