I usually died before the end of the level, so the checkpoints were godsends as I was able to get my health back and a wolf call to boot.
Enjoyable beat'em up, with loads of gore (dismemberment, decapitations), decent combat (the controls can feel stiff at times, and you get locked in some animations, but the combos feel satisfying and there are different temporary weapons with distinct attack patterns), stylish graphics, and a pretty simple story about fending off the Romans.
I really feel the story is where Wulverblade shines rather brightly even if it is fairly brief.
-The art style is the first thing that you will notice and everything looks really great visually.
The art and history behind this game kept me playing far longer than the gameplay did, but it's worth mentioning that it supports full online co-op and this is definitely a game I'd enjoy playing with a friend.
