The pros to this game are the characters, story, choices, and charm.
Pastry Lovers is a mixed-gameplay visual novel featuring a 16-year-old female protagonist named Sakura who wishes to become a pastry chef, which is a renowned and highly coveted position in her kingdom of *snorts* Carseland.
I could tell that the CG scenes were drawn by a different artist (due to different art style) and I think the character art is nicer than the CG (which is very rare bc it should be simliar standards?)
The CGs are a tiny bit amateurish, or at least lack clean lines, and the soundtrack is a generally unoffensive riff off of common tunes.
It is a stats based game, you need to raise stats to meet challenges but so far they havn't been too difficult to obtain.
