What players think
The recurring themes across 52 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
As a big fan of RPGs this one ticked all the boxes for me - engaging characters, plenty of side quests, puzzles all over the place, and humour.
It reminds me greatly of the original Final Fantasy on NES but with better graphics and without the requirement to grind in forests or at sea to level up or earn money.
These side quests—numbering over twenty—range from simple errands to more involved mini-scenarios that deepen the lore and provide tangible gameplay rewards.
I also enjoyed that the map seemed pretty expansive without ever falling into the pitfall of other titles making the dungeons too convoluted and mazelike, I think all the areas had a fair level of difficulty and I was able to push on without being frustrated.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
