Gameplay
Players who bring up Gameplay mostly praise it.
Yes, as a gothic operator i absolutely miss enviromental storytelling in SWAT 4, it's grim New York locations inspired by the movie "Seven", unique personalities of the team members, user-friendly UI, more gameplay options, etc., but the 3rd installment excels exactly in what the 4th one could have done better.

Story and characters
Players who bring up Story and characters mostly praise it.
Instead of constructing a dramatic narrative arc, it adopts the tone of a professional simulation, presenting each deployment as part of an ongoing public safety operation rather than a cinematic storyline.

Audio
Players who bring up Audio mostly praise it.
What truly gives these spaces life is the sound design: distant screams, muffled gunshots, police radio chatter, footsteps echoing through stairwells, and panicked civilians pleading for help.

Co-op
Players who bring up Co-op mostly praise it.
Despite SWAT4 taking the eventual crown of tactical coop game due to it's impressive ease of access and simple controls, in my opinion SWAT 3 is the truely groundbraking achievement that to this day set the bar so high, modern titles can be measured by it's standards.
