What players think
The recurring themes across 115 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Basically, the game feels like a chore to play, due to antiquated mechanics/controls, easy first order optimal strategies that destroy any feeling of challenge or mastery, and a style that seems like it's trying too hard to be self-aware, or something (oh, and it has characters that yell in the same fashion everytime you do certain attacks, complete with bad sound quality).
Beat em up with a good art style and some nice backgrounds but one that plays too much like the more mediocre beat em ups of the past with nothing or very little done to improve on them, and in one case being worse.
Also, it has local co-op which is great when you want to play with a friend.
99Vidas is a beat em up that supports up to four players, local and online.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
