What players think
The recurring themes across 105 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The gameplay is pretty fun, I really enjoyed the right amount of difficulty with bosses and levels themselves, never really felt like it was annoying to go through.
Sure, the game is cute... the ingame graphics are nice quality NES-style with good use of black space... the play control is solid... there's nothing really bad, per se, to say about any of it.
Just like graphics, the audio design is made with that 8-bit limitation in mind and I quite enjoyed it, but it could have been much much better.
Played on Linux Mint 17.3 64 bit, with Nvidia GT 720 graphics and a Logitech F310 controller set to XInput.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
