The storyline is pure fan service, as siblings Lann and Reynn travel through the land of Grymoire, encountering cute chibi versions of FF characters and enemies, and facing off against a prophecy and the Bahamutian Army.
The graphics are something to look at and the character designs are adorable, but the environment design feels archaic and oversized, which compounds other pacing issues.
The gameplay is classic FF, to a fault.
Doing so would also make the game fully playable on Steam Deck (which honestly feels like the perfect home for a game like this), and would almost certainly bring in new players.
A quick word on the voice acting, most of it seems reasonable or good, options for Japanese and English I believe, the one fox character I find to be half annoying and half cute in the way she talks, will say "lets-the-go" instead of "let's go", it gets old fast.
