What players think
The recurring themes across 186 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
While the choice of protagonist has minor narrative differences, both characters share the same overarching goal: to uncover the truth behind the strange events in the mansion and ultimately escape alive.
While the graphics don't hold up and some of the animation look goofy as hell, the voice acting is actually pretty great, with some awesome narration for all the texts you can find inside the mansion
The gameplay loop is incredibly solid, the atmosphere positively dripping, the writing shockingly interesting, the graphics and art direction impressive, and the soundtrack memorable and compelling.
