SOULCALIBUR VI

It's a solid fighting game that, on a fundamental gameplay level, meets most of my expectations and only falls just short in some regards.

While some may be fans of it, i feel like it's a significant step down from SCIII's Tales of Souls and honestly, the story mode where you take center stage is a heckton more interesting.

I feel as though the DLC characters that are available as of this review, Tira, 2B, Amy, and Cassandra, really help the roster, and hopefully some more fan-favorites return with Season 2.

Guest Character: Geralt of Rivia is seamlessly integrated into the combat and aesthetics, but his story chapter is disappointingly short and shallow.

Fantastic visuals, great soundtrack, and an impressive array of content by modern fighting games standards.

Despite the abundance of information to chew through, I found the learning curve of SC6 very pleasant; there’s an in-built encyclopedia that describes not just the characters’ movesets, but more importantly, how to apply them in combat.
