With 6 characters, procedurally generated dungeons, plenty of loot, armor crafting, and a very challenging boss we got plenty of replayability.
Castle of no Escape 2 is a great roguelite with aesthetics resembling NES era games which actually extend beyond just visuals, with (optional) sprite flickering and NTSC and PAL differences that can be tweaked to your heart's content in the options menu.
Complemented by a chiptune soundtrack, the audio-visual design immerses players in a nostalgic atmosphere that pays homage to its retro inspirations.
- you have to get used to the controls if you play with a controller (they fully work though!)
