This game is the start of the third story arc that focuses on Erebonia and follows the story of Rean Schwarzer as he enrolls at the Thors Military Academy to join it’s new Class VII.
Sky does it the best because moving to a different location provides a sense of physical narrative progression.
Trails of Cold Steel is a good entry point to The Legend of Heroes series, if the "old school" graphics of Trails in The Sky don't appeal to you and you prefer "fancy 3D graphics".
Again, Falcom remains remarkably consistent in their music quality with many good tunes to listen to.
