Since all combat abilities possess this twin utility purpose, it allows for a fantastic progression system that slowly lets both platforming and combat become more advanced as you unlock more abilities.

The Good: The writing, art direction and moment-to-moment gameplay are still brilliant.

Nearly all the dialogue and plot points in the game are designed to be humorous, and I personally found it to be one of the funniest games I have played in a long time.

The hand-drawn art style is bold and expressive, with fluid animations that make combat and movement feel alive.

I still give this a thumbs up, because the game is still playable in coop and has this great luchador atmosphere, design and music that lets the series stand out from the competition, but I also leave the game finished with some reservation.

The soundtrack complements this energy perfectly, blending Latin-inspired rhythms with driving rock elements that elevate both combat encounters and exploration.
