The weapons have actual weight behind them, when you fire straight ahead, it slows you down, fire to the side, it can push you off course, and my favorite, shooting behind you gives a little speed boost.

This game is completely playable with a keyboard and mouse, rebinding some of the keys to make it more comfortable, but was clearly designed for a controller, which is how I played it.
