The developers over Blindflug Studios went with a cel-shaded art style for Airheart, think that works really well for the gameplay, it makes things really pop on the screen and it can keep you captivating and wanting to explore more of the world seeing the different fish, the different planes, the floating islands can make your imagination run absolutely wild with the types of things you would see if you lived in this world, making you want to explore the world from different points of views.
Airheart is a roguelike shooter telling the story of Amelia, a young pilot with the objective of reaching the stratosphere to capture a legendary whale, and honor the inheritance received by her father.
Good art style, with colorful graphics, good design and characterization of enemies, and generally a good quality to it.
This game is completely playable with a keyboard and mouse, rebinding some of the keys to make it more comfortable, but was clearly designed for a controller, which is how I played it.
The astetics is very good and it is a very joyful relaxed game, the music is orchestral and fits the game as well.
