What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
I thought Emily is Away was a great game but I felt the game lacked options in the way the story went and that it would have been nice to have manual saves.
The conversation system still has realistic dialogue that I could have seen myself having at that age and the story has a natural progression to it.
Emily is Away Too is a visual novel with a chatting interface that is similar to AOL Instant Messenger.
It recreates the aesthetic of AIM and MSN with impressive accuracy, down to the sound effects, profile editing, and browser-era interfaces.

Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No themes split opinion in this sample.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 3 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
