Drawn: The Painted Tower is a rather basic point-and-click adventure, a step up from "hidden object" games in that you have an inventory and interact with characters and objects vs. find things on a list, though most of the items you must find are spread about in a similar fashion to hidden object games.
The graphics are nice and I enjoyed the concept of the main character's magic.
The sound design complements the fantasy atmosphere exceptionally well.
Rather than relying on action or fast-paced gameplay, it embraces thoughtful exploration, environmental storytelling, and intricate puzzles that gradually reveal the fate of a gifted young girl named Iris.
However, the "adventure game" mechanics are boring and dumbed-down to the point where the majority of the "adventure game" type puzzles involve just finding the inventory items that you need.
