What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Make that plural - there are seven endings, which makes up for the game being pretty short, even if it gets repetitive by the time you've collected all seven, plus there's stuff with no effect on the course of the main game that's fun to explore, and if you've played Boneworks and/or Bonelab or are planning to, this game is their predecessor and adds a bit of lore to them, even if the plot isn't really related.
Overall, if you could guarantee this game will run flawlessly on your system, I would say it's probably worth it on a sale, as the core gameplay loop is fun for one playthrough.
Visually, the contrast between the intentionally primitive graphics of the fictional duck hunting game and the more realistic home environment creates a memorable artistic balance.
The game's soundtrack also adds to its nostalgic vibe, with a mix of synthwave and 80s-inspired music that perfectly captures the game's aesthetic.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
