At first they looked cartoonish to me (I am new to the WN series), but it grew on me and I like the depth given to characters.
Before considering the purchase, look up some recent gameplay on Youtube or request gameplay in the community hub to get a better feel of what you're getting.
The visuals and audio for the game are great for such a small studio and they spent a lot of time refining the gameplay and fixing bugs as the community reported them.
The voice acting is acceptable and the little dialogues given to characters seem to do just fine.
