The other modes, estival versus comes with well... not really modes but more so side content, you have a shinobi girl's heart which is extra fun story/gameplay events that happen after the main game.

If you're new to the series you should absolutely play Burst Re:Newal and Shinovi Versus first as they have much more serious stories and less flawed combat.
