first half is fun and cool that it links with the first games story but then the last 50% of the game is annoying and unfun garbage where the final boss even crashes your game due to too many entities, just ass, 50 million enemies in small arenas artificial difficulty dark souls 2 scholar of the first sin style. not to mention the numerous softlocks on random elevators that get the character stuck or sliding vent transition that got me stuck as well at the beginning of a new chapter and i had to noclip to get through it, lovely stuff, just like hunt down the freeman.
The ability to lead small squads of soldiers — including medics and engineers — adds a fresh layer to combat, and new mechanics like rope climbing and radios help expand gameplay without overcomplicating it.
New cool alien weapons, ''special forces feeling'' and from 1999. perspective great graphics with amazing skeleton animations where in cut scenes player is not ''cut'' from action, he actually play while scene happen around and can even harm player during the sequence.
The addition to the lore that this game offered was also very welcoming, it was a lenghty & solid expansion that I would play it all over again with different mods, the multiplayer mode is also worth checking out for all of this and the CTF mode.
Sound and Audio are kinda weird while the soundtrack does actually have some fun and action packed moments, the Audio sounds a bit abrasive but that can be due to the time period that the game was made in.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
