The night vision is very immersive with the digital filter attachment, which uses 3 loadout attachments/points (max is 20 in PvP, max is 30 in co-op), but it costs no attachments to use a green, white, or amber phosphor on the goggles.
But, speaking of immersion, I'm pretty sure this game's optimization has been abandoned.
