Difficult but not unfair gameplay
Then, you add to the mix an indisputably inspired soundtrack that captures the entire experience and gives it a spark of brilliance — I cannot stress this enough — mirroring many of the great gems of the past that managed to do so much with so little.
Visually, the game adopts a vibrant pixel-art style that balances clarity with personality.
It costs a little bit too much, but it's hella fun - like those old school arcade shooter, with pixel art and amazing controller support, voice acting and gameplay overall.
PS: If you play this on a steam deck, I recommend forcing the game through proton, so you get steam cloud save and achievements.
It took me around 2.5 hours to beat the base game, plus some time was spent idling in menu and some spent re-doing the first bunch of levels perfectly just for fun to bring me to around 4 hours to do so.
