What I got instead was a beautifully crafted story full of wit, interesting yet deceptively simple gameplay, and basically infinite replayability.

Sound: I can't speak too much on this personally, as I play with my volume pretty low and listen to my own music, but one thing I WILL say is that the sound design on the attacks is excellent.
