What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Even if you may choose to play Aven Colony in its Sandbox Mode (featuring 10 large maps in the base game), I strongly recommend you start with the Tutorial missions and then focus on the Campaign Mode.
It's a small(ish) download for some cool graphics.
The story is ok, gameplay is fun, decent camera controls.
All sounds are well represented, whether we’re talking about voice acting (narrator/advisor banter) sound effects or a soundtrack suitable for our Sci-Fi setting and topics.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
