Combined with the scientific approach to gameplay, the atmosphere becomes uniquely immersive for players interested in hard science fiction.
I really wish that more games were like this in having this amount of realism and scientific simulation, and I would love to see a multiplayer version of this with improved graphics, perhaps where you could fight a war created by you against other players in a solar system.
The sound design is great - there is no sound in space, but you will be enjoying the terrifying and visceral noises of your armor being pummeled by hypervelocity slugs and your crew compartment violently depressurizing.
