What players think
The recurring themes across 180 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
-The story's surface portray's this game as a typical slasher story set inside the grounds of Camp Sunshine.
-The gameplay was alright.
The game also looks pretty nice for pixel art, with plenty of stomach churning gore and solid sound effects that sell the gruesome atmoshere (unfortunately, Jez's whiny and casual way of dealing with things often cuts the atmospheric effect off short; seriously, he goes to search a dead body and acts annoyed that he has to do it, rather than disgusted or horrified).
These retro graphics for an RPG, are polished and nice, even though you will most likely be in darkness for the majority of the game, it's not difficult to travel around places, which is a huge plus for me.The music that does play is reminiscent of classic horror movie music and fits the game very well.
+.25 for having snes gamepad support, definitely helped enhance the retro feel for the game!
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
