What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Gameplay has been improved, soundtrack got better but it's still ONE song for each level, weapons variety is a little better, and can be even better when choosing to include the weapons that were introduced in the later games.
The visuals in CI2 are pretty good, as the art style gives everything a crisp, smooth look.
Sound design follows a similar pattern, with playful effects and music that reinforce the tone but can become repetitive during longer sessions.
Each planet also features an ending boss and I swear on my life one of them looks like a redditor.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 3 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
