What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Talking to random characters yields tips and secrets (e.g. how to fight certain spirits, which characters can use magic, etc), and fighting enemies like desert bandits and ghosts gives you greater experience and allows you to level up pretty fast.
This has been even more fun and entertaining than most of the paid RPGs I've tried in my life, and given me far more gameplay hours than a lot of games I paid for.
Decent graphics - The part where you walk about is ok - buildings are well-drawn, down to details like ivy climbing up walls, cracks in buildings, etc.
The sound effects are pretty much stock standard RPG maker effects, so there's not much to talk there.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
