What players think
The recurring themes across 109 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Developed and published by Inkle, the game continues the epic quest while dramatically expanding both the scale of the adventure and the complexity of its decision-making systems.
While players seeking action-heavy gameplay may find the combat understated, it effectively supports the game's emphasis on strategy and role-playing.
Combined with an excellent soundtrack and immersive sound design, the presentation enhances the feeling of embarking on a dangerous journey through a magical world filled with wonder and uncertainty.
The visuals are great and Inkle do a great job keeping similarities to the old game book's artstyle, while at the same time keeping the old drawings and visuals to visualize some of the environments.
