I think the mechanics are definitely challenging, but the difficulty oddly spikes in the middle of the game (when you are still busy unlocking everything), rather than later on.

On multiplayer (2 player) it was pretty smooth the only bug we came across was pretty funny, if you are near the cubby shelves and both jump into each other it will teleport you both into the shelves and completely trap one person in the shelving but other than that we had no big issues.

The soundtrack and sound design deserve special praise as well: I usually turn the music off in games, but here I kept it on for the entire playthrough because it fit the experience so perfectly.
