Very interesting portrayal of early 20th century Vienna, with interesting characters who play to their strengths and have their own motivations.
The art is consistently mesmerising, incorporating a kind of nostalgic, retro sepia look that's quite distinct from the current wave of pixelated graphics.
Also, for a game which encourages replayability, the absence of some quality of life features (such as the ability to skip cutscenes or speed up dialogues) is severely felt.
The soundtrack is solid throughout (even though the later chapters lack the oomph present in the first one), and to a game of its kind the overall sound design was very captivating, from the storm in the alps to market crowds and lecture hall gossip, adding a satisfying layer of depth and life to an otherwise largely inert game.
